On April 30th at 10 a.m., our Read and Explore program will meet outside at Heron Cove (weather permitting) to explore the hidden lives of bugs and insects. Meeting weekly, this early STEM and literacy program engages young children with hands on exploration and learning opportunities. Many children are fascinated with bugs and it's easy to understand why. With their interesting shapes and colors, bugs can serve as a gateway to appreciating nature. Young kids can count legs, explore hidden worlds and learn about biodiversity while observing insects. During week's Read and Explore, we will explore insects, their diversity and role in our environment. Wear your hiking boots, because we are going on a bug scavenger hunt. We will supply magnifying glasses for participants. Please register below. If you are able, please consider making a donation to the Vernal School to help us continue to offer free, high-quality programming.
