Women Reconnecting and Engaging with Nature to host natural craft workshop at Montour Preserve.11/3/2025 Women Reconnecting and Engaging with Nature (WREN) will host a natural holiday craft making workshop on Nov. 23 at 1:30 p.m., inviting participants to create seasonal décor from foraged and sustainable materials. The program will begin with a guided nature walk, where participants can gather natural materials to use in their projects. Following the walk, the group will move indoors for a hands-on workshop, transforming their collected items into unique holiday crafts that highlight the beauty of the season and the creativity found in nature. WREN is an outdoor-based program designed to help women build confidence, community and well-being through shared nature experiences. Offering opportunities such as guided hikes, skill-building workshops and overnight adventures, WREN encourages participants to step outside their comfort zones, learn new skills and reconnect with the natural world. The program emphasizes inclusivity and empowerment, creating a supportive environment where women of all backgrounds can explore, reflect and grow together in nature. For this workshop, participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring a reusable bag or small box to gather natural materials. Attendees may bring any tools or materials from home they wish to use. Limited tools and additional supplies will be available on site. We will gather in the auditorium of the Environmental Education Center for introductions before the guided nature walk. Space may be limited; advance sign-up is recommended. Please register for this program below.
