Looking for an evening of summer fun and learning for young scientists? Montour Preserve is hosting a free evening of interactive STEM activities at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2nd. Designed specifically for children in grades K-5, Twilight STEM Camp offers a hands-on interactive experience designed to be fun, exciting, and educational. Twilight Camp will offer children a hands-on opportunity to explore numerous subjects including geology, chemistry, biology, and physics through interactive stations and investigative problem-solving. The activities are designed with input from scientists and subject matter experts and go beyond the usual at-home science experiments to create an excitement for learning. From fossils to non-Newtonian fluids, the evening will include activities created to spark curiosity and help create a love of science. This special event is made possible thanks to collaborative effort between the Vernal School, the Montour Area Recreation Commission, and the Susquehanna Council BSA. Families are encouraged to stay and participate. Staff will have updated clearances and background checks. Early registration is recommended. Please register at the link below.
