Retired National Wild Turkey Federation's regional director Walt Bingaman will be leading two educational opportunities for children of all ages on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Perfect for homeschool and cyber school families, these programs will celebrate and educate children of all ages on the importance of the wild turkey and introduce older children to safe and effective wild turkey hunting techniques (there will be no hunting or use of firearms during the program). Retired National Wild Turkey Federation's regional director Walt Bingaman is a dedicated volunteer, youth advocate and local wild turkey expert. Walt is dedicated to the conservation of the game bird as well as educating the public and youth on the importance of safe and well-regulated hunting practices which balance both conservation efforts and outdoor recreation. The morning program will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will be designed for children in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. This program will include a video presentation, fun with real turkey feathers, fun turkey facts and trivia along with an educational overview of the wild turkey. The afternoon session will be start at 1 p.m. and is designed from children in 6th grade and older. This session will introduce older youth to safe and effective hunting techniques, ongoing conservation efforts, turkey facts, trivia, video and educational session. Have children of different ages?
