This family friendly program will include a guided hike through the colorful autumnal forests of Montour Preserve and introduce those who attend to basic nature journaling concepts. Throughout the program, PA Master Naturalist Deb Steransky will provide the group with facts about the life found in our forests and point out topics of interest while offering tips and ideas on how to better capture one's vision on paper. No artistic experience is necessary. Nature journaling is about personal expression rather than perfection. Whether participants choose to doodle, write a poem, or simply record their thoughts, the goal is to engage with nature in a way that feels natural and enjoyable. This hike is open to all ages and levels of experience. If you are not interested in journalling, you may still join the program for a fun and educational hike.
