"Read and Explore" is an early STEM and Literacy program that engages young children with hands on exploration and learning opportunities. On 10 a.m. May 28th, "Read and Explore" program will meet in Heron Cove in order to learn about Watersheds and explore the shore of Lake Chillisquaque. The program will begin with a group reading of "W is for Watershed" by Connie Nye, a book aimed at educating young children about watersheds and the water cycle. Following the lesson on watersheds, we will investigate the lake's perimeter and discover what creatures live in the lake. Please bring water shoes and prepare to get a little wet. Please also remember no swimming is allowed in Lake Chillisquaque, we will only be able to explore the shoreline. Register at the link below.
