Pennsylvania Game Commission to hold Night Out at Montour Preserve

The Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Northeast Region invites the public to a Night Out event on Monday, Jan. 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Montour Preserve Visitors Center, located at 374 Preserve Rd., Danville.

This free event offers a unique opportunity for community members to engage directly with District 5 Commissioner Allen DiMarco and Game Commission staff. Attendees can learn about a wide range of topics.  These may include:

• Law enforcement
• Wildlife diseases
• Wildlife populations
• Habitat work
• Forestry practices
• Pheasant stocking programs
• Upcoming education and outreach events

The evening will also feature a special presentation at 5:30 p.m. by Wildlife Management Supervisor Kevin Wenner. His program, titled “Amazing Antlers,” explores the fascinating process of antler growth, development, and their annual drop-off. 

​This event is ideal for hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, families, and anyone curious about Pennsylvania’s wildlife. It promises to be an evening filled with valuable information, engaging discussions, and opportunities to connect with local wildlife experts.

There is no registration for this event.  Those who wish to attend can stop by at any time between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
