Bloomsburg Children's Museum 2024 Science Fair

Certain kinds of worms are able to regenerate body parts.  Planarians are a species of flat worms which have this ability.  They were also (un)lucky enough to be the subject of my middle school science project. 

The yearly science fair was a big deal when I was growing up.  Students nervously presenting hard work and research on a trifold board, while hoping the judges picked their project as one of the best. 

​Last night, I had the pleasure of being on the other side of the equation.  ​

I had the pleasure of being a judge at the Bloomsburg Children's Museum 2024 Science Fair.  Although, I must admit it was easier to be a judge than a student; it still was no small task. 

All of the projects were very well done.  The winner of the group I was judging experimented with the effect of time on memory, tying together with crime scene investigation and accountability.

Even though picking a winner was much more difficult than I would have thought, it was great to be surrounded by such innovative young minds. 

​I would like to thank the Bloomsburg Children's Museum for inviting me and look forward to judging next year's fair.
