The Bald Eagle Art League invites artists and art enthusiasts to a plein air gathering from 9 A.M. to noon Saturday, Sept. 27, at Montour Preserve’s Goose Cove Overlook. This free, public event offers a chance to create art in the open air while taking in the natural beauty of one of the preserve's most scenic locations. Artists of all experience levels are welcome to attend. The event is not a formal class but a relaxed gathering of like-minded individuals looking to connect, create, and be inspired by nature. Local artist Debra Moffitt, who has exhibited her work in both local and regional shows, will help host the event and be on hand to encourage participants. Participants should bring their own art supplies, drinking water, a snack, and bug spray. There is no registration fee. The Bald Eagle Art League is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster excellence in the arts, support arts education and diversity, and sponsor community outreach and service opportunities. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the visual arts and offers opportunities to pursue and develop artistic skills while enjoying the support of a creative and friendly community. More information about the Bald Eagle Art League can be found at https://bealartleague.weebly.com. Questions about the event may be directed to Debra Moffitt at [email protected]. Although the event is free, we are asking that you register at the link below.
