On Tuesday, October 30th, at 9 a.m., Pennsylvania Game Commission's wildlife disease technician, Robyn Crouthamel, led a collaborative effort to enhance bat habitats at Montour Preserve. Joined by members of Montour Area Recreation Commission (MARC) and Vernal School, the team installed two new bat boxes designed to provide safe roosting sites for local bat populations.

Nestled in the endless mountains, World’s End offered a picturesque backdrop for a weekend of camping, hiking, exploring, and family fun.
At 2 p.m. Saturday November 16, 2024, Robyn Crouthamel a wildlife disease technician with the Pennsylvania Game Commission will be presenting a family friendly, educational program in the auditorium of Montour Preserve's Environmental Education Center discussing local bat species and the conservation efforts protecting them.
Seasonal Nature Journaling Session with the Master Naturalists set for 2 p.m. October 20, 202410/2/2024 PA Master Naturalist Deb Steransky be leading a fall nature journalling hike at 2 p.m. on October 20, 2024. This family friendly program will include a guided hike through the colorful autumnal forests of Montour Preserve and introduce those who attend to basic nature journaling concepts.
